SUMMARY:2024 SVP Sponsored Walk in support of St. Vincents Centre\, Leeds.
DESCRIPTION:Many thanks to all the parishioners who sponsored Catharine and Robert Freeman for the 2024 SVP sponsored walk which took place on Sunday 19th May in and around Wetherby. We have been pledged a fantastic £320 in donations to support the work of the St. Vincents Centre\, Leeds. \nIt was a glorious sunny day and there was a short family walk of 3 miles with lots of children’s activities included and an 8 mile walk for those a little more adventurous – like ourselves – through to the village of Spofforth and return via Stockheld Park and Kirk Deighton. Many thanks to St. Josephs Wetherby for the refreshments laid on at the end of the walk. Never has a cup of tea tasted so good! \nAlso many thanks to the teams from St. Vincents Centre and St. Josephs and any one else involved in the organisation. It was a great day and is certainly something to look forward to for 2025.
